Accessibility Statement

1. Our Commitment

J-TECH is committed to making its website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as referenced by the European Accessibility Act (EU Directive 2019/882, transposed in Belgium by the Law of 16 May 2023).

2. Conformance Status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The site was rebuilt in August 2026 and designed against WCAG 2.1 AA from the start: the contrast ratio of every colour pair is computed rather than estimated, a reduced-motion preference replaces animation with static composition rather than removing content, and every fact presented in the scroll sequence also exists in the static HTML. Interactive controls meet the 44×44 px touch target minimum and carry visible focus states.

No formal audit of the rebuilt site has been carried out yet. An earlier automated scan was run against the previous version of this website; because that version has been replaced in full, its results no longer describe what you are using and have been removed rather than left here to imply a currency they do not have. We describe this site as self-assessed until an audit is done, and we will publish the result here when we have one.

3. Known Limitations

Known gaps in the current build, stated plainly rather than omitted:

• Language versions are not separately addressable. The Dutch and French versions are switched in the browser rather than served at their own URLs, so the page declares itself as English even when showing another language. That is a WCAG 3.1.1 failure and it is on the list to fix.
• No formal third-party audit. Everything above is self-assessment. It has not been checked by anyone outside the studio.
• The animated mark is decorative. It is hidden from assistive technology, and the headline beside it carries the same meaning in text. Nothing is conveyed only through motion or only through colour.

This website relies on the following technologies for conformance:

• HTML5 (semantic markup)
• CSS (Tailwind CSS, with responsive design)
• JavaScript / React (Next.js 16 App Router)
• WAI-ARIA attributes for dynamic and interactive components

5. Assessment Approach

J-TECH assesses this website by self-evaluation against the WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria. That means: contrast ratios computed for every colour pair rather than estimated, keyboard traversal of the whole page in DOM order, testing with a reduced-motion preference enabled, and checking that every fact shown during the scroll sequence also exists in the static HTML.

No third-party audit has been carried out on the rebuilt site, and no automated scanner result is quoted here — an earlier scan described the previous version of this website and would be misleading now. A third-party audit is intended; when it happens the result will be published on this page whatever it says.

The European Accessibility Act obligation date of 28 June 2025 has passed, and this site is within its scope. We are stating conformance honestly rather than claiming more than has been verified.
